Privacy Policy

We built this app to be private by default. No account is required, no personal information is collected, and nothing you do here is sent to a marketing tracker. This page explains the few exceptions in plain language.
What we store
Your saved scenarios, language preference, currency preference, and disclaimer acceptance are kept in your browser's local storage on your device. They never leave your browser unless you explicitly export them via the JSON export feature.
Local storage is wiped whenever you clear your browser data or use the in-app "Reset all data" action.
What we don't store
We do not collect your name, email, phone number, location, or any identifier. We don't have user accounts. We don't sell data because we don't have data to sell.
We don't use third-party advertising trackers, social media pixels, or session replay tools.
Third-party services
Stock prices and fundamentals come from EODHD and Yahoo Finance. When you run a simulation, your chosen stock symbol and date range are sent to our server, which then queries those providers. We don't log your queries with any personal identifier.
Foreign exchange rates come from Frankfurter.app. Company logos may be fetched from Wikipedia, EODHD's CDN, or Google's favicon service when you view a stock card.
If we ever add analytics (such as Vercel Analytics for aggregate visit counts), this page will be updated before that goes live.
Children
This is a general-audience educational tool. We don't knowingly collect any data, so we don't have any way to identify children specifically. The product is intended for adult investors learning about historical markets.
Changes
If we change how data is handled, we'll update this page and the "Last updated" date above. Material changes will be flagged on the homepage for at least 30 days.
